EDUCATION & TRAINING CENTER

Base Education & Training Center Renovations

We are excited to announce that Base Education & Training, Building 252, is currently undergoing extensive renovations to transform into a state-of-the-art facility, poised to become the new focal point for Education, Training, and Professional Development. Upon its completion in Fall 2025, our revamped facility will proudly accommodate the Base Education & Training Offices, Base Library, Airmen Leadership School, and Professional Development Center, offering enhanced services and resources to our community.

As we embark on this transformative journey, we want to ensure transparency and provide clarity on how these changes will impact our current offerings:

  1. Transition of Classroom Space: Please note that classroom space for meetings and trainings will no longer be available.
  2. Conversion of On-base Classes to Virtual Campuses: Effective 1 June 2024, on-base, in-person classes offered in collaboration with Hillsborough Community College, Embry-Riddle University, and Saint Leo University will transition to virtual campuses, ensuring uninterrupted access to education and training opportunities.
  3. Temporary Suspension of Testing Services: CLEP and DSST Testing services will be suspended onsite after 8 May 2024 until the completion of the renovation project.
  4. Temporary Suspension of In-person Briefs: In-person Briefs will be suspended onsite after 30 May 2024 until the completion of the renovation project.

We understand that you may have questions or concerns regarding these upcoming changes. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 6fss.fsde.education@us.af.mil, and our dedicated team will be more than happy to assist you.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work towards creating a dynamic and modern educational environment to better serve our community's needs. Thank you for your ongoing support during this exciting transition period.

CLEP AND DSST TESTING

Important Announcement: Changes to Testing Services

In preparation for upcoming facility renovations, Saint Leo University's National Test Center will temporarily suspend on-base CLEP/DSST Testing services starting May 9, 2024. We anticipate resuming services upon the completion of renovations in the fall of 2025, featuring upgraded facilities for an enhanced testing experience.

During this transition, we're excited to offer alternative options to meet your testing needs:

  • Remote Proctoring: CLEP and DSST now offer the convenience of taking exams from home with remote proctoring. This ensures the same high-quality testing experience with the added flexibility of testing from your preferred location.
  • Local Test Centers: You can also schedule your exam at a CLEP or Prometric (DSST) exam center near you, providing convenient access to testing facilities.

Remember, DANTES will fund the first attempt at an exam for military members. Simply select "DANTES Funded" during the registration process to take advantage of this opportunity.

Thank you for your understanding during this transition period. We're committed to providing exceptional testing services and look forward to serving you in the future.
