Open to teens ages 13-18 before they head back to school. Dance party, games and hang with friends at our FREE dance party event at the MacDill Youth Center.
Summer camps and field trip registration will open Monday, May 2nd at 10am at the Youth Center. Please register in person and provide a copy of current immunizations with a flu shot at the time of registration.
Pricing: $75/pre-teens • $25/teens
After school programming for ages 9-18 is available for STEM, 4-H, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness and Sports and Recreation.

Dance lessons are available at the youth center for ages 18 months - 14 years of age. Classes include mommy & me, tap, jazz and ballet. Prices vary by class. Call the youth center for more info.

About the instructor:
Michael Bunk holds a Bachelor's degree in music education with an emphasis in classical guitar performance from the University of Massachusetts, an associates of secondary education from Hillsborough Community College and over 25 years of experience in individual and group teaching. He currently acts as the theory tutor for students at the University of South Florida and has toured extensively in the U.S. supporting such notable names as Marky Ramone and Tiny Tim.

Pre-teens have an assortment of interest areas at the Youth Center. Youth ages 9 and 10 can become members of the Ambassador Club, while youth ages 11 and 12 can become members of the Torch Club. These are leadership clubs where the youth are responsible for planning community service, educational, health and fitness, and social activities throughout the year.
Pre-teens also have access to the basketball court, game room, education room, instruction room and two rooms specifically for pre-teens.
Programs like 4-H, Fine Arts Exhibition, Photography Contest, and computer classes are available throughout the year.

SMART Girls– Is a prevention education and self-esteem enhancement program for female club members. It is designed to help girls develop and adopt a healthy attitude and lifestyle, develop a positive self-concept and develop sound decision-making skills. The SMART Girl’s program has modules for 9-12 and 13-17 years old. Each module has two components: “It’s Your Body” and “Take Care of Your Body”.
TORCH Club – Provides the opportunity for youth ages 11-13 to become part of a Leadership Club. Members discuss and plan special events, programs, and community service projects or events. Limited to 15 members. Club will meet once a week for an hour.
KEYSTONE Club – Teens ages 14-18 years old. Program has a rich tradition instilling leadership skills and responsibility among older Club members. Club is responsible for planning for Youth Center and special community events and projects. Member will be eligible to attend the Regional Keystone Conference, which was held in Virginia Beach last year.
4H Clubs – Is a community of young people who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Membership forms must be completed to join in the 4H activities.
Youth of the Year – Premier recognition program for club members, promoting service to club, community and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability. Winners will receive scholarships for college.
MacDill Teen Council – The MacDill Teen Council Program allows teens to brainstorm solutions and initiate change at the installation, amor command and Air Force levels. As members of the AFTC, teens can develop leadership skills and exercise their civic engagement while interacting with other teens and senior leaders at all levels.
Teens Night Out – Offered the last Friday of each month at the youth center. Enjoy a fun game/events night for teens ages 13 to 18.
Our youth sports program is predicated on skill development and team building. We want our youth to have fun while learning!
