EMPLOYMENT OF MINORS - UPDATE!
Effective immediately, Minors ages 14 & 15 can now work at NAF facilities when it does not interfere with their school day. The age limit of 16 years of age has been removed from the Nonappropriated Fund Personnel Program Management and Administration Procedures Guide.
There are strict rules and guidelines as it pertains to minors ages 14 & 15 working. The HR department can assist with any questions you may have.

CHILD & YOUTH INCENTIVES
Child Development Program (CDP) will provide 100% childcare fee discount for all direct care staff for the first child enrolled in the Child Development Center (CDC) (full-time) or School Age Program (SAP) (regular part-time). A 25% discount will apply for ay additional children of direct care staff. Direct staff must spend a minimum of 75% of their work schedule in the classroom.

ACTIVE DUTY - LOOKING FOR EXTRA CASH?
6th FSS is recruiting off-duty military to work in NAF facilities!
Did you know...
- Off duty personnel can be employed as NAF employees during non-duty hours on less than a full-time basis (under 34 hours/week regardless of circumstances).
- Off-duty enlisted personnel employed as regular employees (20-34 hours) may qualify for some NAF benefits earned by other regular employees (excluding group health insurance, worker's compensation or retirement).
- Active duty commission and warrant officers are prohibited from NAF employment (except under a personal services contract).
When hiring off duty enlisted personnel assigned to FSS as their prime military duty, the following additional rule applies:
- Enlisted personnel must not be hired to perform duties in the same FSS activity to which assigned while carrying out their assigned military duties.
The 6th FSS eligible facilities for employment of off duty military include: bowling, golf, outdoor recreation, ITT, Arts and Crafts, Child Development Programs, youth programs, library, resource management, marketing, NAF Human Resources office and lodging.
