HEALTHCARE TO HEALTH (H2H)

Healthy Military Child Initiative
H2H logo

H2H promotes health and well-being through multiple initiatives aimed at making healthy lifestyles the nor throughout the Air Force community. Housed within the 6th medical group, our lifestyle coaches facilitate weekly group and individual sessions to provide education and support for retirees and family members in adopting a healthy lifestyle to improve energy, manage weight, reduce or reverse health issues such as pre-diabetes and high cholesterol. Group lifestyle balance sessions are held at both MacDill and Sabel Park locations.

Through our 5210 healthy military children initiative, we provide family consultation to assist children in adopting recommended healthy behaviors (daily; eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables; 2 or less hours of screen time; 1 hour of physical activity; and 2 sugary beverages) that positively impact future weight and health. We also provide speakers and educational materials on a variety of health and motivation topics for adults and kids as well as to staff working with youth on base and throughout the community.  Contact Anna for more info  at (813) 828-7442.
