The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide support and coordinated assignment management to military families with special needs. What's considered a special need? See the criteria HERE.

The program is MANDATORY for all service members  whose dependents meet the criteria. The program's objectives can be found HERE. Your MacDill AFB EFMP Team (Medical, Family Support, Assignments & Partners) assists DoD ID cardholders of all branches of service.
